a few nights ago, i felt a sudden strange relief when it crossed my mind that i would channel these feelings into poetry — but who am i fooling? when did i ever successfully shook hands with poetry? i throw the blame to the stone roses lyrics that have been invading my ears the past few days.
if it tells me anything though, it can only be that the weight in my heart, that which is spelled out by your name, is so heavy, my feelings so darn dreary that i dare thought for a second i can make art out of it— yes, now let’s laugh together at joke. . .”
